Taste is not an inaccessible thing you're born with. It's a skill. The path: try lots of products, ship things, get feedback, and submerge yourself in the pain of watching real people use your interfaces.

At Vercel, one of our core operating principles is "increasing exposure hours" — quantifying how much time you expose yourself to watching people use your products. That's how you build taste. It's a skill, not a gift.
I believe AGI undersells what we're collectively building. We already have sparks of super intelligence. When v0 knows how to draw a dashed line accounting for the curvature of the earth — that's just superhuman.
A lot of programming jobs that used to be specializations are going away — they're translation tasks. But knowing how things work under the hood lets you influence the model and make it follow your intention far better.
